This week our 6th grade classes worked together to complete two team challenges. In the first one, Save Fred, they could only use paperclips to move things and had to lift a cup and thread a gummy worm through a gummy lifesaver. In the next challenge students constructed a paper tower without glue or tape. They tried to reach the tallest possible height in 6 minutes, which was quite a struggle as it occasionally blew over! Check out some pictures of our challenges!

6th grade students will begin their year with discovering what it takes to be a scientist. Students will be competing group challenges and using group roles. Today they started with brainstorming ideas for class jobs and rules. Their reflective nature is helping us start the year with a safe and positive classroom!
