This week students performed an experiment of their own design. They chose experimental questions ranging from: Which type of paper makes a paper airplane fly the farthest? to "How does eating fast food affect my heart rate?"

As students perfected their skills at writing scientific procedures, we took a break and decided to write directions for building a s'morewich snack. While working in pairs, students wrote step by step directions explaining how to put together the sandwich. Then they traded cards! At that point, they could only follow what was written on their cards. That's where it got interesting! This past week 8th grade continued to review content they have previously learned. We played team Kahoot! while reviewing graphing and cycles and ended the week with a challenge activity! Here's some pictures of the team challenge:
